- Acerca de mi

The Anglophile Lass is a teacher resource store aimed at ELA/EFL/ESL teachers working with middle school and high school grades (CEFR B1-C1). Fun has always been an important component of my lessons, so most of my resources use gamification as a vehicle to revise and/or integrate content. Although grammar and vocabulary are the main focus of my store, you'll also find writing and speaking activities as well as templates to put together your own games.
I have been teaching and tutoring students at both secondary and university level for over 25 years. My area of expertise is that of training candidates for the suite of exams in English for foreign learners offered by the University of Cambridge. Although I occasionally tutor young learners, my teaching practice is mainly focused on adults and young adults who are independent and proficient users of the language (CEFR B1 to C2).
In addition, I have over two decades of experience tutoring trainee English teachers in areas such as English Language, Grammar, Phonetics and Literature.
Blended learning has been at the centre of my teaching practice for the last sixteen years. Therefore, my approach is largely one of facilitator and lays special emphasis on each student's learning journey and self-pacing. In other words, my lesson and course planning is tailored and regularly adjusted to meet the learner's needs according to his/her individual learning process.
Gamification has become an integral part of my lessons; I find it a wonderful anxiety-reliever when dealing with reinforcement and assessment of challenging topics. Using games in the classroom not only renders the learning and teaching experience fun but also makes long-term language acquisition more efficient.
Since I'm extremely fond of literature, I always include extensive reading as part of the syllabus- not only to instil the love of books among my students but also to foster self-exploration and inner growth.
✪ 1989: three-year scholarship for academic excellence to train for Cambridge's Suite of Exams in English as a Foreign Language. (Scholarship granted by the Asociación Bahiense de Cultura Inglesa - Bahía Blanca- Provincia de Buenos Aires - Argentina.)
Accredited Advanced TEFL/TESOL Certificate (2022; TEFL Universal, Chesterfield, England.) 1st Class Honours (GPA 4.0)
I love watching films, listening to music, learning foreign languages and reading/listening to historical romance- mostly Regency and Victorian.
